Binance Sign-Up to Your First Earn Deposit: The Full Walkthrough

The six-step flow from registering on Binance to opening your first Flexible Savings
Our call

What matters most is step one: the address bar must read accounts.binance.com, not one letter off; get that wrong and everything after is wasted. Easiest slips: a KYC name or ID number that doesn't match the document, and sending USDT on the wrong chain, which may be unrecoverable. Stop if the page says your location is unavailable or you're ineligible; no VPN workarounds, and no third-party verification service.

If you've never used Binance and just want to park a little idle USDT to earn some interest, what you have to do really comes in two big stretches: first get the account registered, verified and secured, then fund it and open your first earn deposit. This piece breaks both stretches into small steps, starting from spotting the official page, and walks you through, flagging where beginners most often trip up or get scammed.

Let's be clear up front: registering and earning aren't complicated in themselves; the hard part is not landing on the wrong site at the very first step, and not getting fooled by a fake "support agent" or "verification service." So this piece spends a fair bit on how to recognize the official site and how to set up security. By the end you won't need to hunt down scattered tutorials; follow along and you'll get all the way through.

Step 1: Spot the official sign-up page (most important)

This step matters more than all the rest combined. The most common trap in crypto isn't that the process is hard, it's landing on a fake site at the very start: fake Binance and phishing sites are built to look almost identical, and once you register and deposit, the money goes straight into a scammer's pocket.

  • Check the domain: Binance's official sign-up page is at accounts.binance.com. Not a single letter in the address bar can be off (don't read "binance" as "blnance" or "b1nance").
  • Don't click sketchy entry points: be wary of ads in search results, short links posted in group chats, and "latest address" messages. Go through an entry point you've verified, or through a clearly labeled referral link like ours (the button below opens the official Binance site in a new tab).
  • Where we stand: YieldStub is an independent third party and not Binance. We provide a clearly labeled referral link; whether any referral benefit exists, what it includes, and who is eligible are determined by Binance's official registration page at the time. YieldStub cannot access your Binance account.

Once on the sign-up page, it should be Binance's own interface. Confirm it's right, then move on.

If you reach the sign-up page and it says the service is unavailable in your location or you are ineligible:Stop here. Don't register, and don't use a VPN or false details to get around the restriction. Whether the service is available and whether you meet KYC and referral eligibility is decided by what Binance's official page shows at the time and by local law.

Step 2: Create the account, set a strong password

Registering itself is quick:

  • Sign up with an email or phone number you use regularly and can receive a code on.
  • Set a strong password you don't use anywhere else (don't share your exchange password with your email or other sites, so one leak doesn't bring everything down).
  • Enter the code you receive to finish basic registration. The account now exists but isn't fully usable yet; the next step is verification.
Binance sign-up page: the heading “Welcome to Binance”, one “Email/Phone (without country code)” field, a ticked “By creating an account, I agree to Binance's Privacy Notice” box, a yellow “Register” button, then “Continue with Google”, “Continue with Apple” and “Continue with Telegram” buttons

The first sign-up screen has no referral-code field; the code only appears in the step after your account is created. If you choose to use the referral link at the end of this guide, you'll see the code filled in automatically at that step; check the invitation details, eligibility and local terms the page shows before it is bound.

If you don't see anywhere to enter a referral code on the first screen:That's normal. Binance's help center says the referral code appears in the step after your account is created: coming from a referral link, it's filled in automatically and shown as bound; an invalid one can be changed and a missing one skipped, but once bound it can't be edited. Don't open a second account over it.

Step 3: Complete identity verification (KYC)

Every exchange requires identity verification (KYC); it's a compliance requirement, not red tape for its own sake. It's generally uploading an ID document plus one face check.

  • Choose the document type as prompted, and upload a clear, glare-free photo of the original with all four corners visible.
  • For the face check, find a well-lit spot and turn your head or blink as instructed.
  • The name and ID number you enter must exactly match the document; a mismatch is the most common cause of failure.

Different regions and verification levels require different documents and unlock different features, all per what Binance's page shows at the time. When verification keeps failing, first rule out glare and mismatched details and retry with a clear original; if it still fails, contact support through Binance's official channels, and never use a third-party "verification service," which hands your ID to a stranger and is extremely risky.

Step 4: Set up your security (don't skip this)

The account works now, but don't rush to deposit. Spending five minutes on security setup blocks the vast majority of account takeovers:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA): prefer an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator) or a passkey; both resist SIM-swap attacks better than SMS.
  • Anti-Phishing Code: once set, every official email Binance sends you carries this code that only you know; emails without it are basically fake and easy to spot.
  • Withdrawal address whitelist: once on, withdrawals can only go to addresses you've added in advance, so even if you're hacked, funds are hard to move out.

All of these live in your account security settings. Do them all the first time and you'll use the account with far more peace of mind afterward.

Step 5: Fund your account, get your first USDT

Earn products mostly use stablecoins (like USDT), so first get some USDT into the account. Two common routes:

  • Fiat channel / C2C purchase: buy USDT with a bank card or C2C (peer-to-peer with a merchant). For C2C, pick a reputable, high-volume merchant, mind the legitimacy of the fund source, and watch out for the risk of a frozen bank card.
  • Deposit USDT from elsewhere: if you hold USDT in another wallet, you can deposit it in. Be sure to pick the right chain (TRC20 / ERC20 / BEP20 and so on); the deposit address and chain must match, and sending on the wrong chain may be unrecoverable.

Keep your first deposit small: get the flow working and confirm it arrives before considering more. Arrival time varies by channel, per the on-page notes.

Step 6: Open your first earn deposit

With USDT in the account, you can open your first earn deposit:

  • Go to Binance's Earn section.
  • As a beginner, choose Flexible first: withdrawable anytime, lowest barrier, easiest to understand. Subscribe a small amount of USDT.
  • Read the product details before subscribing: check whether it's Flexible or Locked, whether the rate is tiered (a high APR often covers only the first small band), and the redemption rules.
  • Confirm and subscribe, and you'll see interest accruing the next day. If it looks fine, then decide whether to add more.

At this point you've gone all the way from sign-up to your first earn deposit.
